Swimming is a great way to get fit and healthy in a relaxed and comfortable environment and there is no better place to start than at David Ross Sports Village.
Home to a number of University sports clubs, the pool also offers general swimming times for members and a comprehensive list of swimming lessons for Early Years, Juniors and Adults for the local community.
We're proud partners of Speedo and Nova Centurion who work closely with elite members of our swimming squad.

Swim School (6 weeks old > Adult Lessons)
We offer an extensive Swim School programme for all ages and abilities from babies who will feel the splash of water for the first time to juniors looking to develop and adults learning to swim. Our simple aim is to provide everyone, whatever their ability, with the best experience in a comfortable, safe and fun environment alongside expert coaches who will look to get the best out of your technique and ability.
We offer a variety of options for anyone wanting to learn to swim including 1-2-1 private lessons or group sessions depending on which you prefer.
For babies and toddlers, we have a special programme which is delivered in our heated hydrotherapy pool and focuses on building confidence in the water through activities with colourful toys and nursery rhymes.

AquaFit Classes & Swim Fit
We offer a weekly Aqua fit class on our group exercise timetable available to all our members. Aqua fit is aerobics in the water, using the water resistance to give you an all-over body workout. It offers a low-impact option and it doesn't matter if you can't swim!
We're also part of the popular Swimfit programme which allows swimmers an alternative way to work out in the pool and get the most out of your swim.
A series of 30 Swimfit session cards are available and offer set programmes split into four sections; warm up, stroke development, main set and warm down. They range from 10 lengths to 120 lengths and even give you a guide to the number of calories you are burning!
Speak to one of our instructors for more information.
