We encourage our students to use public transport or walk to campus. However, we understand you may need to drive to the University.
You can apply for a student parking permit if you:
- have a disability
- have a child under 16
- act as a carer
- suffer with other medical conditions
If you live in Halls of Residence or have a term time address within 15 miles of University Park you will not be eligible for a permit.
What you need to know
To apply for a parking permit online you will need your:
- MOT
- insurance certificate

- Online Driver Summary Details
You'll also need to provide support for your application. This can include:
- your child's birth certificate or passport
- proof of residency
- medical evidence
- disabled blue badge

The price of your permit will depend on your vehicle's emissions and the type of permit. There is an annual charge for permits, running from 1 September to 31 August. Permits are vehicle specific.
