Coronavirus (Covid-19)

See latest advice for UoN community and details of how to report symptoms or test results

We encourage our students to use public transport or walk to campus. However, we understand you may need to drive to the University.

You can apply for a student parking permit if you:

  • have a disability
  • have a child under 16
  • act as a carer
  • suffer with other medical conditions

If you live in Halls of Residence or have a term time address within 15 miles of University Park you will not be eligible for a permit.

What you need to know

To apply for a parking permit online you will need your:

  • MOT
  • insurance certificate
  • UK driving licence
  • Online Driver Summary Details

You'll also need to provide support for your application. This can include:

  • your child's birth certificate or passport
  • proof of residency
  • medical evidence
  • disabled blue badge
  • confirmation of carer status

The price of your permit will depend on your vehicle's emissions and the type of permit. There is an annual charge for permits, running from 1 September to 31 August. Permits are vehicle specific.
